Here's the next guest post, AJ is a good friend (and penpal) of mine :)
We're growing up.
It's a fact.
We don't like the things we used to like. For example: I no longer play with my American Girl dolls or watch Hannah Montana.
We don't wear the things we used to wear. Like, I don't wear big fancy hair bows and prance around in Disney princess dresses anymore, like I used to.
Our rooms don't look the same. There's no rocking chair, toy box, or toddler bed in my room anymore. Now there's a stereo, a big mirror, and a twin bed (there are stuffed animals on my bed, but, you know what I mean :P ).
We don't play the same things we used to play. For instance, when a friend comes over, I don't suggest having a tea party or playing house. We have a sleepover or do makeovers.
My point is, hang onto being little. I'm not saying go dress up like a fairy and bop people in the noggin with your magic wand. I'm saying that you shouldn't try to grow up so fast. A lot of us think that being an adult is the greatest thing since sliced bread. But I have news for you; it's not. I watch my parents while they're voting, paying bills, or just grocery shopping. It seems so difficult compared to what we must do as kids.
So don't try to grow up quickly, because once you're an adult, you'll want go back.
I loved your guest post, AJ! I agree- except my sister and I will always love AG dolls. :)
